The Partnerships and Program Intern will support the Foundation’s mission by assisting the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Officer in program planning and execution. The intern will work on a variety of projects related to supporting grantee partners in our three priority program areas: Indigenous Food Justice, Nutrition Education & School Food, and supporting Serious Fun Children’s Network. Working as part of a small team, the intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social impact work and nonprofit operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the development of impact measurement and learning documentation
- Conduct background research on grantee partners and social impact initiatives
- Help prepare presentations, reports, and communication materials
- Prepare and assist in the execution of external meetings and webinars
- Support outreach and communication efforts related to the foundation’s programmatic areas
- Assist in gathering and organizing data for grant applications and reporting
- Support the team through implementation of select administrative duties
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Knowledge and Abilities
- Basic data management and analysis skills
- Knowledge related to child nutrition, Indigenous communities, and/or experiences of children with medical challenges
- Experience with or interest in social impact measurement and evaluation
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- Lived and/or professional experience with nonprofit management, public health, or related fields
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently
Schedule and Compensation
- This is a remote position. However, candidates must reside in one of the following states: Connecticut, Massachusetts, Montana, New York, Virginia, or Wisconsin. For those in the Westport, CT, area, there may be an opportunity to work at the Newman’s Own Foundation office.
- Pay rate is $18-$22 an hour, commensurate with experience.
- This part-time, temporary position will run from May 2026-August 2026. There is some flexibility around start and end dates, preferred workdays, and exact number of hours worked.
- Candidates are expected to work 15-25 hours a week. Work should be completed during East Coast business hours (9 am-5 pm ET).
- As applicable, enrolled students may pursue academic course credit for this internship. Interns are solely responsible for confirming their institution’s requirements and for tracking and fulfilling all associated documentation, hours, and approvals. Please indicate Interest in obtaining course credit—and any related academic requirements—in the cover letter.
Physical Demands
