We’re delighted to support the second year of Nourishing Narratives, a youth film competition from Mosaic Film Experience! Using one of Paul Newman’s platforms—film—we’re inviting kids to share what creating better food futures means to them.
Nourishing Narratives invites youth ages 13-18 in the US to explore imagine what a just, equitable, and fair food system for all looks like. Submissions are open March 6—April 12, 2026!
Awards
Up to 10 films will win a $1,000 cash prize, Newman’s Own prize pack, invitation to a special screening, and more!

Eligibility at a Glance
- Open to US residents ages 13–18 (parent or guardian permission required for participants under 18)
- No prior filmmaking experience necessary
- Shoot, edit, and submit film via mobile device
- 2-3-minute short films
- Must submit via FilmFreeway platform
Each Film Must Feature:
- Theme: Better Food Futures
- Prop: a plate or bowl
- Saying: integrate the saying, “Change Starts With Us” (could be spoken, written, or displayed)
- Proper credits
