The opportunity
Paul Newman instinctively knew what science now confirms: positive childhood experiences help mitigate the negative impacts of traumatic childhood events. That’s why he founded The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, and eventually SeriousFun. Children with serious illness deserve environments that are nourishing and confidence-inspiring, and camps are an ideal setting at no cost to their families. Since 1988, SeriousFun camps have provided 2.2M camp experiences to kids and families experiencing medical challenges totally free of charge.
