Paul knew what science confirms: positive childhood experiences transform lives.

The challenge

Navigating life with a serious illness is especially difficult for children, with frequent hospital visits and health concerns leading to fear, stress, and isolation for both children and families.

The opportunity

Paul knew intuitively what science now proves – that positive childhood experiences can transform the lives of children facing adversity. That’s why he founded Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, and eventually SeriousFun. Children with serious illness deserve environments that are nourishing and confidence-inspiring, and camps are an ideal setting at no cost to their families.
